The Deschutes Rim Clinic Foundation is a new Oregon corporation and a 501(c)(3) non-profit.  It was formed in memory of Deanna McDowell, who passed away in September of 2013.  She was a tireless volunteer in the South Wasco County area, a staunch supporter of the Deschutes Rim Clinic, and was instrumental in the building of the Canyon Rim Assisted Living facility.  Deanna’s tireless efforts to support her community have been felt in Dufur as well as throughout South Wasco County.

Deanna’s husband Tom has donated a John Deere tractors in her memory to a live auctions for the Lenore Walters Scholarship fund and Deschutes Rim Clinic Foundation.

The Foundation is intended to support the Deschutes Rim Health Clinic. The Foundation's proceeds are used to assist low-income/non-insured residents with necessary care (medications, supplies or office visits), replacement of expensive medical equipment, and also to be the fundraising arm to build a larger medical clinic building for expansion of hours, specialty services and necessary staff to sustain our quality of care commitment.

The Clinic provides economic opportunity and stability in year-round, long-term employment for qualified staff.

In this spirit, we can all serve her memory by paying it forward to help the less fortunate in our communities.

Please see more about the Foundation on the Home or News page.
