Lee Balentine, DMD, rents space for his private Dental practice in the Deschutes Rim Clinic building. Dr. Balentine graduated from the University of Arizona in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science.  He then attended the University of Oregon Dental School in Portland, graduating in 1975.  He spent the next three years with the Navy before returning to Portland to practice.  After spending eight years with the Willamette Dental Group he decided it was time to spread his wings and go out on his own.  He landed in Maupin, Oregon.  Dr. Balentine moved to this area because he enjoys fishing and hunting, but his most recent love is golf.

Dr. Balentine is involved in our local community.  He is part of the Fire Department, the South Wasco County Ambulance, the Lions Club, the board for Canyon Rim Manor and the Chamber of Commerce.  He is also a Community Member at Large for the White River Health District Board of Directors, the parent board for the Deschutes Rim Health Clinic.

Dr. Balentine has been married to his wife Sharon, a school teacher in Maupin, for 35 years and has four children and one golden lab.

With the move to larger quarters within the Deschutes Rim Health Clinic building, Dr. Balentine has been able to add 2 new staff members: a dental assistant and a hygienist to his qualified staff.
